What Our Patients Say
GOOD Based on 15 reviews Posted on Google eric blaufarbTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Dr Imami & his entire staff were warm, welcoming, professional, and kind from the first call to the walk out to the car after the procedure by Dr. Imami. There are many Dr's practices set-up to be professional, efficient, providing great results; I've been to many. Then there are Dr's. practices that create a culture of kindness, healing, respect, & love along with being professional and efficient; these are rare diamonds. Dr. Imami's practice & the environment he has cultivated over a long successful career extents from his practice to all the people he has touched, healed, and helped along the way. If you are considering any type of restorative elective procedure and are unsure, tentative, anxious about these types of procedures, reach out to Dr. Imami and his team, you will feel cared for the moment he picks up the phone. Thank you so much for helping pacients, teaching physicians, and having such a strong ethos of healing & caring. Best Regards, and god bless to you your family and your two sons! PS I can't wait to see the results from my FUT procedure sprout & grow 🙂 Eric Blaufarb Update for those who may be unsure how well this procedure works I've added 2 photos. It's been about 4 months and the transplants are really coming in! I cannot express how excellent the technicians were they spent 8 hours of focused work and their talent & dedication is unmistakable with these results!

Dr. Imami and the team did an excellent job with my FUE treatment. Also very easy to communicate with. I was very anxious and nervous about what to expect before doing the procedure, but Dr. Imami and the team answered every question and addressed every concern I had and the procedure went super smoothly. Everyone is super friendly and caring and they definitely made me feel comfortable. Recovery is also pretty quick. It's been about 4 weeks now. Can't wait to see the growth in the coming months. At the time of this writing, I am 8 months post my FUE procedure. When I started this, I had an advanced thinned crown and receding front hairline but was not totally bald. Needless to say, I was not happy when I looked in the mirror. I was very uncomfortable (embarrassed) about even looking into hair restoration, but Dr. Imami and his staff were very understanding and wonderful people to work with. Dr. Imami did 100% oversee every part of the prep, the FUE procedure, and the post/follow-up procedures I have done with them. Yes, he has technicians that perform the procedure under his supervision, as every one of these offices do, so I don't know what a couple other reviewers that I saw on here were complaining about (if they weren't actually fake reviews). If you are wondering, the FUE procedure itself wasn't bad. A little uncomfortable until the numbing injections kick-in, but fine after that. The first couple of nights after the procedure are a bit uncomfortable. I had to sleep in a recliner for the first two nights to keep the pressure off of the donor area. For me the recipient areas were relatively pain free right through the full healing period. I think I just had more nerves in the donor area. Your experience may vary. I am very happy with the results so far, and I will be moving forward with a second procedure to get everything to where I want things to be. I was a little worried about doing things in stages, but it has worked out very well for me. The changes have been substantial, but subtle/gradual enough over the first 6-month healing and growing period, where people I work with and people who had not seen me in months, were not able to tell what had changed about me (even close relatives). And yes, I did strategically wear baseball hats and such for the first month after the surgery. 🙂 I was also happily surprised with the cost of the procedure. I initially went in thinking they were going to tell me a huge number, and I would then walk away, saying no way can I afford that. Thats not what happened though, so don't walk away from checking this out thinking you can't afford it, because you may be surprised like I was. Not to sound crazy or anything, but this has not just restored my hairline, it has restored my self-image. I was seriously depressed with myself. Looking in the mirror was painful for me. Doing this started me down a healthier path with myself. It helped me get serious about losing weight and getting in shape as well. I feel great and I look better than I have in 15 years. If you are thinking about doing this, do it. I wish I hadn't waited as long as I did.Posted on Google Tyler CopelandTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I am 5 months post-surgery for the FUE hair transplant I had done. This review is in relation to where my hair is at now. I will update this review at 12-13 months when the results are fully established. Getting this surgery done was one of the largest decisions I have made and spent roughly two years researching the procedure. I am 25 years old and for the first time in three years, I am able to feel comfortable again. I am very pleased with the results so far and have seen extensive growth in the past month. My hairline is natural looking and my crown is slowly filling in. I kept my head shaved up until a month and a half ago and even shaved, nobody was able to notice the "dot" scars from the donor site unless pointed out and meticulous observed (it helps that I have a very fair complexion). With my hair grown more, the donor site looks 99.99% untouched and I am the only person who can tell and even then, it is still virtually unnoticeable. In regards to the procedure, I felt very comfortable the second I walked through the doors and Dr. Imami and his team displayed professionalism and expertise the entire way through. Dr. Imami's team conducted the vast majority procedure and I felt in very comfortable and capable hands. When the results are fully evident, I will share before and after photos. However, for now, I do not want to share any photos as the results are still preliminary. However, I confidently say that I am very pleased with the progress made thus far. I realize how difficult the decision for this procedure is so please feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions or concerns! I genuinely say that I am very happy that I went through with this procedure with Dr. Imami and his team and it has reinvigorated my confidence. This review was done fully on my own-terms and not asked for or promoted at all but rather to encourage others to consult here and share my satisfaction. —— Update 09/01/2023 Continued 5 stars. A new breath of life. Highly recommend Imami Hair Restoration for FUE procedures. Only positive experiences. It’s been about 2.5 years since my original procedure. The FUE procedure and similar hair restoration procedures and techniques seem to have continuously grown in popularity with more and more traveling abroad for them. Nothing wrong with that — if you do extensive research. Personally, I made the decision to get it done locally in the U.S. for a very reasonable price. Anyways, I’m happy. I’m more confident. Most importantly, I feel like me again. People don’t notice my FUE dots unless I point them out — and that’s coming from a guy who STILL gets skin fades. Overall, one of the best decisions I’ve made. It’s not for everyone. Be prepared to take finasteride daily for as long as you want your head of hair. Just the nature of the beast. It’s not a miracle — but it’s damn impressive. The meds aren’t for everyone. Not everyone will react well to fin. You’ll read a lot of horror stories online. I chalk this up to an inverse survivorship bias where the minority with bad experiences share while the vast majority with positive experiences don’t share. Personally for me, no notable sides. Don’t go into this expecting a miracle. Taper your expectations and appreciate research, skill, technology, and medicine. At the end of the day, theres potential to bring life back to a balding head — in this case, the balding head of someone in their early 20s. Photos: Before and afters should be obvious — hopefully lol. Taken at least 14 months post op AND finasteride use. Photo of top of head uses flash.

Our Approach
Strong Women. Strong Hair.
Have you noticed more strands in your hairbrush or a part that keeps getting wider? Female hair loss is more common than most people realize, yet it’s rarely talked about. Beyond the physical changes, thinning hair can chip away at your confidence and shift how you feel about yourself.
The encouraging news is that it’s treatable, and the best approach comes down to understanding what’s causing your hair loss and where you are in your hair loss journey. At Imami Hair Restoration, we offer both surgical and non-surgical hair loss treatments for women. Every treatment plan is personalized, and we offer advanced solutions to help you restore your confidence and achieve permanent results.
What Are Female Hair Loss Treatments?
Female hair loss treatments include both surgical and non-surgical options designed to address thinning hair, reduced density and hair loss at different stages. The most suitable treatment depends on the cause and extent of hair loss, the pattern of thinning, the strength of the donor area and your personal goals.
For women with more advanced or localized hair loss and enough healthy donor hair, a female hair transplant may be an effective long-term solution. This treatment can help restore density in targeted areas and create a natural-looking result.
For women in the early stages of thinning or those seeking to maintain and strengthen their existing hair, non-surgical treatments may be recommended. Options such as growth factor therapies, peptides, exosomes and microneedling can help support follicle health, reduce ongoing shedding and encourage healthier hair growth over time.
As female hair loss often appears as thinning rather than bald patches, these regenerative treatments can be especially useful for improving fullness and preserving existing hair. In many cases, the best results come from combining surgical and non-surgical treatments as part of a personalized long-term hair restoration plan.
Causes
What Are the Causes of Female Hair Loss?
Hair loss in women can occur for many reasons, and identifying the underlying cause is an important first step in choosing the most effective treatment. Female hair loss often presents as overall thinning, widening of the part, reduced density or increased shedding, rather than a receding hairline.
Female Pattern Hair Loss
Female pattern hair loss, also known as androgenetic alopecia, is one of the most common causes of hair thinning in women. It is usually linked to genetics and hormonal sensitivity, which can gradually affect the hair growth cycle and cause follicles to produce finer, shorter hairs. Unlike male pattern baldness, female pattern hair loss often appears as diffuse thinning across the top of the scalp or a widening part, while the frontal hairline is usually preserved.
Genetics
Genetics can play a significant role in female hair loss. A family history of thinning hair or hair loss may increase the likelihood of developing female pattern hair loss, although the timing and severity can vary from person to person. While genetic hair loss cannot always be prevented, early diagnosis and treatment may help slow progression, preserve existing hair and improve overall density.
Hormonal Changes
Hormonal changes are a major contributor to hair loss in women. Thinning may occur after pregnancy, during menopause, after stopping or changing hormonal contraception, or as a result of conditions that affect hormone balance. Changes in estrogen, progesterone, and androgen activity can influence the hair growth cycle and contribute to increased shedding, reduced density or gradual thinning.
Stress
Physical or emotional stress can disrupt the normal hair growth cycle and trigger excessive shedding, known as telogen effluvium. This type of hair loss may occur after illness, surgery, emotional stress, rapid weight loss or a major life event. Stress-related shedding is often temporary, but ongoing stress can delay recovery and make it harder for healthy hair growth to return to normal.
Nutritional Deficiencies
Healthy hair growth depends on adequate nutrition. Deficiencies in nutrients such as iron, zinc, vitamin D, protein and B vitamins may weaken the hair and contribute to increased shedding or thinning.
Women may be more prone to certain deficiencies due to menstruation, pregnancy, restrictive diets or underlying health conditions, which is why nutritional status is often assessed during a hair loss consultation.
Medical Conditions and Medications
Certain medical conditions can contribute to female hair loss, including thyroid disorders, polycystic ovary syndrome, autoimmune conditions such as alopecia areata and scalp conditions that cause inflammation or scarring.
Some medications may also trigger shedding as a side effect, including certain antidepressants, blood thinners, acne medications, blood pressure medications and hormone-related treatments.
During your consultation, Dr. Imami will assess your medical history, hair loss pattern, scalp health and overall well-being to determine whether any underlying factors may be contributing to your hair loss.
Advantages
Benefits of Female Hair Loss Treatments
Whether surgical or non-surgical, female hair loss treatments can help improve hair density, support scalp health, and restore confidence. Here are some benefits of female hair loss treatments:
-
Supports the Health of Existing Hair Follicles
Non-surgical treatments such as growth factor therapies, peptides, exosomes and microneedling may help support the health of existing hair follicles. These treatments are often recommended for women in the earlier stages of thinning, where the goal is to strengthen current hair, reduce shedding and maintain overall density. -
Improves Hair Thickness and Fullness
As female hair loss often appears as diffuse thinning rather than distinct bald patches, treatment commonly focuses on improving overall fullness. Regenerative therapies may help encourage healthier growth over time, while surgical options can be used to restore density in specific areas where thinning is more noticeable. -
Natural-Looking and Permanent Results
For suitable candidates, female hair transplant surgery can provide long-term, natural-looking results. Hair follicles are carefully placed to match the natural direction, density, and pattern of your existing hair, helping to create a natural, long-lasting outcome. -
Boosted Confidence
Hair loss can affect how women feel about their appearance, especially when thinning becomes visible through the part line, crown or hairline. Effective treatment may help restore confidence, improve styling options and make patients feel more comfortable in both personal and professional settings.
Our Services
Types of Effective Hair Loss Treatments for Women at Imami Hair Restoration
At Imami Hair Restoration, we offer a comprehensive range of surgical and non-surgical hair loss treatments for women, each performed or overseen by Dr. Imami and tailored to your hair loss pattern, donor area, lifestyle and long-term goals.
Surgical Treatments
No-Shave Layered FUE
No-shave layered FUE is one of the most popular hair transplant techniques for women and is especially well-suited to patients with longer hair. Instead of shaving the donor area, individual follicular grafts are carefully harvested in layers through the existing hair, helping to keep the procedure discreet.
This technique does not require a linear incision, shaving or a visible grow-out period, making it a strong option for women who want natural-looking restoration with minimal disruption to their daily routine.
Best suited for: Women who want a discreet hair transplant, prefer to keep their existing hairstyle and have suitable donor hair for individual follicle extraction.
No Shave FUT
No-shave FUT, or follicular unit transplantation, may be recommended for women who require a higher number of grafts in a single session. This can be particularly suitable for patients with more advanced or diffuse thinning who need greater density restoration.
During the procedure, a thin strip of hair-bearing scalp is carefully harvested from the donor area, then dissected into individual follicular grafts and transplanted into areas of thinning or reduced density. As the surrounding hair can help conceal the donor area, no-shave FUT may offer a discreet option for women who need a larger graft yield.
Best suited for: Women with more advanced hair loss who require a larger number of grafts and want to maximize density while keeping the donor area as discreet as possible.
NeoGraft
NeoGraft is an FDA-cleared automated FUE system that allows Dr. Imami to harvest and transplant individual hair follicles with precision and consistency. The technique does not require a linear incision and leaves no linear scar, helping patients achieve natural-looking results with flexibility in how they wear and style their hair once fully healed.
Imami Hair Restoration was one of the first clinics in Florida to introduce NeoGraft, and since 2004, our team has used this technology to deliver safe, precise and natural-looking outcomes for patients across the state.
Best suited for: Women seeking a minimally invasive hair transplant option with no linear scar, discreet recovery and natural-looking density restoration.
Advanced Eyebrow Transplant
An advanced eyebrow transplant restores eyebrow density, shape and definition using carefully transplanted follicular grafts from a discreet donor area. The procedure is designed to create natural-looking, long-term results, with transplanted hairs that continue to grow once established.
Best suited for: Women with thinning, sparse, patchy or over-plucked eyebrows, or those who want a long-term restoration of brow shape and fullness.
Non-Surgical Treatments
Non-surgical regenerative treatments may be suitable for women in the earlier stages of hair loss, for those experiencing diffuse thinning, or for patients looking to support and maintain the results of a surgical procedure.
Some examples of non-surgical treatments offered at Imami Hair Restoration include:
Growth Factor Treatments
Growth factor treatments use concentrated regenerative proteins to support follicle activity, improve scalp health and encourage healthier hair growth. They may be used as a standalone treatment or combined with surgical hair restoration to help support long-term results.
Best suited for: Women in the early stages of thinning or those wanting to maintain and strengthen their existing hair.
Peptides
Peptide-based treatments work at a cellular level to support follicle function and encourage stronger, healthier hair growth over time. They are often used as part of a broader regenerative treatment plan for women experiencing gradual thinning or reduced hair quality.
Best suited for: Women with diffuse thinning, weakened hair or those wanting to improve overall hair quality and scalp condition.
Exosomes
Exosome therapy delivers regenerative growth signals to the scalp to support cellular repair, reduce inflammation and stimulate healthier follicle activity. It is considered one of the more advanced non-surgical regenerative hair restoration treatments.
Best suited for: Women with early to moderate thinning, or those wanting to enhance and maintain the results of a hair transplant.
PDO Threads
PDO threads help stimulate circulation and collagen production within the scalp, creating a healthier environment for hair growth. They are often used as part of a combined treatment approach to improve scalp support and complement other regenerative therapies.
Best suited for: Women looking to improve scalp health and support other hair restoration treatments.
Microneedling
Microneedling creates controlled micro-injuries in the scalp to stimulate the body’s natural healing response and improve the absorption of topical or regenerative treatments. When combined with therapies such as growth factors, peptides or exosomes, it may help improve hair density and scalp condition.
Best suited for: Women with early-stage thinning or those using topical or regenerative hair growth treatments.
During your consultation, Dr. Imami will assess your hair loss pattern, donor area, scalp health and medical history to determine whether non-surgical treatments are appropriate as a standalone option, a preparatory step before surgery or an ongoing complement to your surgical results.

Common Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the best treatment for hair loss in women?
The best treatment for female hair loss depends on the cause, pattern and stage of thinning. Some women may benefit from non-surgical regenerative treatments, such as growth factor therapies, peptides, exosomes, or microneedling, to support existing hair and improve scalp health. Others with more advanced or localized hair loss may be suitable candidates for surgical options such as no-shave layered FUE, NeoGraft or no-shave FUT. In many cases, the most effective approach is a personalized treatment plan that combines surgical and non-surgical options.
Is hair loss in women permanent?
Hair loss in women can be temporary or permanent, depending on the underlying cause. Shedding caused by stress, illness, pregnancy, nutritional deficiencies or certain medications may improve once the trigger is addressed. However, female pattern hair loss or genetic forms of hair loss can be progressive and may require ongoing treatment to slow thinning and preserve existing hair. A proper diagnosis is important for determining whether your hair loss is likely to be temporary, ongoing, or permanent.
What are the early signs of female hair loss?
Early signs of female hair loss may include increased shedding, a wider part line, reduced hair volume, thinning around the crown, a more visible scalp or a ponytail that feels thinner than usual. Some women may also notice more hair collecting in the shower, on their pillow or in their hairbrush.
How is female hair loss diagnosed?
Female hair loss is diagnosed through a detailed consultation, scalp examination and review of your medical history. Dr. Imami may assess your hair loss pattern, scalp health, donor area, family history, medications, lifestyle factors and any recent changes such as illness, stress, pregnancy or hormonal shifts. In some cases, further testing may be recommended to identify underlying contributors, such as thyroid imbalance, low iron, vitamin deficiencies, or hormonal changes.
At what age does female hair loss usually begin?
Female hair loss can begin at different stages of life, but it often becomes more noticeable in the 30s, 40s or after menopause. Some women may experience thinning earlier due to genetics, hormonal changes, stress, medical conditions or nutritional deficiencies.
