Dr Imami & his entire staff were warm, welcoming, professional, and kind from the first call to the walk out to the car after the procedure by Dr. Imami. There are many Dr's practices set-up to be professional, efficient, providing great results; I've been to many. Then there are Dr's. practices that create a culture of kindness, healing, respect, & love along with being professional and efficient; these are rare diamonds. Dr. Imami's practice & the environment he has cultivated over a long successful career extents from his practice to all the people he has touched, healed, and helped along the way. If you are considering any type of restorative elective procedure and are unsure, tentative, anxious about these types of procedures, reach out to Dr. Imami and his team, you will feel cared for the moment he picks up the phone. Thank you so much for helping pacients, teaching physicians, and having such a strong ethos of healing & caring. Best Regards, and god bless to you your family and your two sons! PS I can't wait to see the results from my FUT procedure sprout & grow :-) Eric Blaufarb Update for those who may be unsure how well this procedure works I've added 2 photos. It's been about 4 months and the transplants are really coming in! I cannot express how excellent the technicians were they spent 8 hours of focused work and their talent & dedication is unmistakable with these results!

At the time of this writing, I am 8 months post my FUE procedure. When I started this, I had an advanced thinned crown and receding front hairline but was not totally bald. Needless to say, I was not happy when I looked in the mirror. I was very uncomfortable (embarrassed) about even looking into hair restoration, but Dr. Imami and his staff were very understanding and wonderful people to work with. Dr. Imami did 100% oversee every part of the prep, the FUE procedure, and the post/follow-up procedures I have done with them. Yes, he has technicians that perform the procedure under his supervision, as every one of these offices do, so I don't know what a couple other reviewers that I saw on here were complaining about (if they weren't actually fake reviews). If you are wondering, the FUE procedure itself wasn't bad. A little uncomfortable until the numbing injections kick-in, but fine after that. The first couple of nights after the procedure are a bit uncomfortable. I had to sleep in a recliner for the first two nights to keep the pressure off of the donor area. For me the recipient areas were relatively pain free right through the full healing period. I think I just had more nerves in the donor area. Your experience may vary. I am very happy with the results so far, and I will be moving forward with a second procedure to get everything to where I want things to be. I was a little worried about doing things in stages, but it has worked out very well for me. The changes have been substantial, but subtle/gradual enough over the first 6-month healing and growing period, where people I work with and people who had not seen me in months, were not able to tell what had changed about me (even close relatives). And yes, I did strategically wear baseball hats and such for the first month after the surgery. :-) I was also happily surprised with the cost of the procedure. I initially went in thinking they were going to tell me a huge number, and I would then walk away, saying no way can I afford that. Thats not what happened though, so don't walk away from checking this out thinking you can't afford it, because you may be surprised like I was. Not to sound crazy or anything, but this has not just restored my hairline, it has restored my self-image. I was seriously depressed with myself. Looking in the mirror was painful for me. Doing this started me down a healthier path with myself. It helped me get serious about losing weight and getting in shape as well. I feel great and I look better than I have in 15 years. If you are thinking about doing this, do it. I wish I hadn't waited as long as I did.Posted on Google![]()

I am 5 months post-surgery for the FUE hair transplant I had done. This review is in relation to where my hair is at now. I will update this review at 12-13 months when the results are fully established. Getting this surgery done was one of the largest decisions I have made and spent roughly two years researching the procedure. I am 25 years old and for the first time in three years, I am able to feel comfortable again. I am very pleased with the results so far and have seen extensive growth in the past month. My hairline is natural looking and my crown is slowly filling in. I kept my head shaved up until a month and a half ago and even shaved, nobody was able to notice the "dot" scars from the donor site unless pointed out and meticulous observed (it helps that I have a very fair complexion). With my hair grown more, the donor site looks 99.99% untouched and I am the only person who can tell and even then, it is still virtually unnoticeable. In regards to the procedure, I felt very comfortable the second I walked through the doors and Dr. Imami and his team displayed professionalism and expertise the entire way through. Dr. Imami's team conducted the vast majority procedure and I felt in very comfortable and capable hands. When the results are fully evident, I will share before and after photos. However, for now, I do not want to share any photos as the results are still preliminary. However, I confidently say that I am very pleased with the progress made thus far. I realize how difficult the decision for this procedure is so please feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions or concerns! I genuinely say that I am very happy that I went through with this procedure with Dr. Imami and his team and it has reinvigorated my confidence. This review was done fully on my own-terms and not asked for or promoted at all but rather to encourage others to consult here and share my satisfaction. —— Update 09/01/2023 Continued 5 stars. A new breath of life. Highly recommend Imami Hair Restoration for FUE procedures. Only positive experiences. It’s been about 2.5 years since my original procedure. The FUE procedure and similar hair restoration procedures and techniques seem to have continuously grown in popularity with more and more traveling abroad for them. Nothing wrong with that — if you do extensive research. Personally, I made the decision to get it done locally in the U.S. for a very reasonable price. Anyways, I’m happy. I’m more confident. Most importantly, I feel like me again. People don’t notice my FUE dots unless I point them out — and that’s coming from a guy who STILL gets skin fades. Overall, one of the best decisions I’ve made. It’s not for everyone. Be prepared to take finasteride daily for as long as you want your head of hair. Just the nature of the beast. It’s not a miracle — but it’s damn impressive. The meds aren’t for everyone. Not everyone will react well to fin. You’ll read a lot of horror stories online. I chalk this up to an inverse survivorship bias where the minority with bad experiences share while the vast majority with positive experiences don’t share. Personally for me, no notable sides. Don’t go into this expecting a miracle. Taper your expectations and appreciate research, skill, technology, and medicine. At the end of the day, theres potential to bring life back to a balding head — in this case, the balding head of someone in their early 20s. Photos: Before and afters should be obvious — hopefully lol. Taken at least 14 months post op AND finasteride use. Photo of top of head uses flash.

Our Approach
What is a FUE Hair Transplant?
Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) is a hair transplant technique that involves harvesting individual follicular units from the donor area using a small punch instrument. Unlike Follicular Unit Transplantation (FUT), which removes a strip of scalp, FUE extracts follicular units individually. The harvested grafts are then prepared and carefully transplanted into areas affected by thinning or hair loss.
FUE allows individual follicular units to be selectively harvested and placed within the recipient area. The small extraction sites typically heal as small, circular marks, although their visibility can vary depending on factors such as the individual’s healing response, the size of the punch used, and the amount of hair remaining in the donor area.
During a FUE procedure, follicular units are generally harvested from areas at the back and sides of the scalp, where hair is often more resistant to pattern hair loss. The grafts are then placed into carefully created recipient sites, with consideration given to the natural direction, angle, and distribution of the patient’s existing hair.
The number of grafts that can be harvested depends on factors including the extent and pattern of hair loss, donor hair density, follicular characteristics, and individual treatment goals. Dr. Imami will assess these factors during your consultation and determine whether FUE is an appropriate option for your hair restoration needs.
FUE may suit people who prefer to keep their hair relatively short or who want to avoid the linear donor scar associated with FUT. The right hair transplant technique depends on your individual hair loss pattern, donor characteristics, treatment goals, and previous procedures.

Candidates
Who Is a Candidate for a FUE Hair Transplant?
FUE may suit people experiencing hair loss who have an adequate supply of suitable donor hair and are considered appropriate candidates after an individual assessment. Factors that may be considered include:
- Male pattern hair loss (androgenetic alopecia)
- Female pattern hair loss
- Hair thinning or baldness affecting areas such as the hairline, crown, or other areas of the scalp
- A preference for wearing the hair relatively short
- A preference to avoid the linear scar associated with FUT
- A desire for a minimally invasive hair transplant technique
- Sufficient healthy donor hair at the back and sides of the scalp
- Overall health that is suitable for surgery
- Realistic expectations about what hair transplantation can achieve
- The potential need for future treatment as hair loss progresses
During your consultation, Dr. Imami will assess your hair loss pattern, donor hair density and characteristics, scalp health, and treatment goals to determine whether FUE is an appropriate option for you.
Advantages
Benefits of a FUE Hair Transplant for Hair Loss
-
No Linear Scarring
Unlike FUT, FUE leaves no strip scar. Instead, tiny extraction sites heal quickly and invisibly, even when the head is shaved. This gives you the freedom to wear your hair however you prefer, whether it's short, long, buzzed, or any style in between. -
Minimally Invasive with Rapid Recovery
FUE is performed without removing tissue strips or requiring stitches. This results in less discomfort, faster healing, and shorter downtime than FUT. Most patients return to normal activities within days, rather than weeks. -
Repeatable for Future Needs
As FUE extracts individual follicles rather than a strip, it's easily repeatable. Patients can return for additional procedures if needed to further enhance density or address additional areas of thinning. -
Flexibility in Styling
With no visible scarring, FUE gives you complete freedom to wear your hair in any style. Whether you prefer a crew cut, fade, longer hair, or anything in between, you can style your hair with confidence. -
Permanent, Natural-Looking Results
Transplanted hair retains its original genetic characteristics and will continue to grow naturally for life. When placed by an experienced surgeon like Dr. Imami, results look completely natural and blend seamlessly with existing hair. -
No-Shave Options Available
No-shave FUE allows you to have your procedure with complete discretion. You don't need to shave the donor area beforehand, making the procedure ideal for professionals and those who want maximum privacy.

Procedure
The FUE Hair Transplant Process at Imami Hair Restoration
Step 1: Contact Imami Hair Restoration
Begin by contacting our team online or by phone to arrange your consultation. We will discuss your hair concerns, the areas affected, and your treatment goals, while answering any initial questions you may have. Same-day virtual consultations and after-hours appointments may also be available for added convenience.
Step 2: Comprehensive Consultation with Dr. Imami
You will meet one-on-one with Dr. Imami for a thorough assessment of your hair loss. He will evaluate your hair loss pattern, scalp health, donor hair density, and medical history; discuss your goals; and determine whether FUE is an appropriate treatment option for your needs.
Step 3: Receive Your Personalized Treatment Plan
Based on your assessment, Dr. Imami will develop a treatment plan tailored to your hair loss pattern, donor hair characteristics, and restoration goals. This will include planning the areas to be treated, the approximate number of grafts required, and the approach to harvesting and placing the follicular units. You will receive a detailed explanation of the recommended procedure, expected treatment timeline, recovery, pricing, and available payment options.
Step 4: Prepare for Your FUE Procedure
On the day of your procedure, the donor and recipient areas will be assessed and prepared according to your treatment plan. Your planned hairline and treatment areas will be reviewed before local anesthesia is administered. Depending on your individual treatment plan, a no-shave or partial-shave approach may also be considered.
Step 5: Extract the Follicular Units
Unlike FUT, which removes a strip of scalp, FUE harvests individual follicular units directly from the donor area. Using a specialized punch instrument, Dr. Imami’s team carefully extracts the selected grafts. The small extraction sites do not require stitches and heal during recovery.
Step 6: Prepare the Follicular Grafts
The harvested follicular units are examined under magnification and carefully prepared for transplantation. The grafts are handled with care and maintained in an appropriate storage solution until they are ready to be implanted.
Step 7: Create the Recipient Sites and Place the Grafts
The recipient area is carefully prepared, and local anesthesia is administered. Dr. Imami creates the recipient sites according to the planned hairline, direction, angle, and distribution of the transplanted hair. The individual follicular units are then carefully placed into these sites to restore hair in areas affected by thinning or hair loss.
Step 8: Receive Post-Operative Instructions and Follow-Up Care
After the procedure, you will receive detailed instructions for caring for your donor and recipient areas during recovery. Follow-up appointments will allow Dr. Imami to assess your healing and monitor your progress. He can also guide you through the subsequent stages of hair growth and recovery.
No-Shave FUE
No-Shave FUE: The Discretion Advantage
No-shave FUE is a variation of the FUE technique that may allow selected patients to undergo hair transplantation without fully shaving the donor area. Instead, individual hairs may be trimmed or sectioned as needed to allow the follicular units to be accessed and extracted.
For suitable patients, this approach may offer several practical advantages:
- Greater discretion: Keeping more of the surrounding hair intact can help make changes to the donor area less noticeable during the early recovery period.
- Less visible change in appearance: You may be able to maintain more of your usual hairstyle rather than having a fully shaved donor area.
- Convenience: This may be useful for people with professional, social, or personal commitments who prefer to minimize visible changes to their appearance.
- Maintaining longer hairstyles: No-shave FUE may be particularly suitable for patients who regularly wear their hair longer.
The suitability of no-shave FUE depends on factors including your hair length, hair characteristics, donor area, and the number of grafts required. Dr. Imami can assess whether this approach is appropriate for you during your consultation.
Our Services
Maximize Your Results with Supplemental Therapies
Several advanced therapies can be performed at the time of your FUE procedure to enhance wound healing, minimize scarring, and maximize graft survival:
Growth Factor Therapy
No additional time required
Your blood is drawn during your transplant and processed to concentrate the platelets. The platelet-rich plasma is then injected into the donor area to minimize scarring and into the recipient area to maximize graft take. Growth Factor Therapy may be repeated monthly to optimize healing and enhance hair thickness and density over time.
Growth Factor Therapy with ACell®
No additional time required
ACell® is an acellular matrix derived from an epithelial basement membrane that, when combined with Growth Factor Therapy, activates your adult stem cells to stimulate hair follicle regeneration. This combination optimizes wound healing and maximizes hair thickness and density. Like Growth Factor Therapy alone, you may repeat it monthly for enhanced results.
PDO (Polydioxanone) Threads
No additional time required
PDO threads are fine, absorbable surgical suture strands inserted into areas of thinning hair using painless acupuncture-sized needles. These create a subtle inflammatory response that stimulates hair follicles to grow. The threads gradually dissolve over 6 months, and you can repeat the procedure as needed.
Recovery
What to Expect After a FUE Hair Transplant Procedure in Florida?
Recovery following FUE varies between individuals. As FUE involves individual follicular extraction rather than removal of a strip of scalp, there are no linear donor-area sutures. Dr. Imami will provide specific aftercare instructions based on your procedure and individual recovery.
Immediately After Your Procedure
- Discomfort: Mild tenderness, sensitivity, or tightness in the scalp can occur during the first few days. Dr. Imami will advise you on appropriate pain relief if required.
- Swelling: Some patients experience temporary swelling of the scalp or forehead following treatment. This generally settles as the early recovery period progresses.
- Redness and crusting: Small areas of redness and crusting around the transplanted grafts and donor extraction sites are common during healing. These generally improve as the scalp recovers.
- No suture removal: FUE does not involve a linear donor incision, so there are no donor-area sutures to remove.
Activity and Hair Care
- Washing: You will receive specific instructions on when and how to wash your hair following the procedure. Wash gently to avoid disturbing the healing scalp and transplanted grafts.
- Activity: You may need to avoid strenuous exercise, heavy lifting, and swimming temporarily while the scalp heals. Dr Imami will advise you when you can resume these activities.
- Sun exposure: Protect your scalp from direct sun exposure during the early healing period and follow the sun protection advice provided by your treatment team.
- Hair products: Avoid harsh products, chemical treatments, and other products that may irritate the scalp until Dr. Imami advises that they can be resumed.
Returning to Work and Normal Activities
The time you need away from work varies depending on your occupation, the extent of your procedure, and your personal preference. Some patients return to work within several days, while others prefer additional time for redness or other visible signs of treatment to settle.
Your scalp will continue to heal over the following weeks, while the transplanted hair progresses through its natural growth cycle. Follow-up appointments allow Dr. Imami to monitor your recovery and provide guidance throughout the hair restoration process.

The Timeline
Timeline: When Will You See Results After a FUE Hair Transplant?
Hair growth after FUE occurs gradually, and timing varies by individual. The following provides a general guide to what you may experience after treatment:
First 2–4 weeks
Transplanted hairs commonly shed during the early weeks after the procedure. This is a normal part of the hair growth cycle. The follicular units remain beneath the scalp while the transplanted hair enters a resting phase.
Months 2–3
Transplanted follicles may remain in a resting phase, so you may see little visible change during this period.
Months 3–4
New hair growth may begin to appear as transplanted follicles gradually enter an active growth phase. The timing and rate of new growth vary between individuals.
Months 6–9
As the transplanted hair continues to grow, changes in hair coverage and density may become more noticeable. The transplanted area will continue to develop over time.
Months 12–18
Hair growth and density continue to mature, with the longer-term result generally becoming clearer during this period. Some patients may continue to see changes beyond 12 months.
Individual results vary and can be influenced by factors including the characteristics of the transplanted grafts, donor hair quality, the extent of hair loss, the number of grafts transplanted, and individual hair growth cycles.
Qualifying transplanted grafts that do not grow can be replaced under our Growth Guarantee.
Flexible Financing
How Much Does a FUE Hair Transplant Cost in Florida?
FUE pricing varies based on several factors:
- The number of grafts needed
- The complexity of hairline design
- The extent of hair loss
- Whether a no-shave FUE technique is appropriate
- Whether additional hair restoration treatments are recommended
For this reason, pricing is confirmed on an individual basis rather than quoted as a fixed figure. During your comprehensive consultation, Dr. Imami will discuss whether FUE is suitable for you, provide a personalised treatment plan outlining the number of grafts needed and the proposed timeline, and provide transparent pricing so you have a clear understanding of the costs before proceeding.

Common Questions
FUE Hair Transplant in Florida: Frequently Asked Questions
What is a FUE hair transplant?
Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) is a hair transplant technique that involves harvesting individual follicular units from the donor area using a small punch instrument. The harvested grafts are then prepared and transplanted into areas affected by thinning or hair loss. Unlike FUT, FUE does not involve removing a strip of scalp, so it does not leave a linear donor scar. Instead, the individual extraction sites heal as small marks that may become less noticeable over time.
How is FUE different from FUT?
The main difference between FUE and FUT is how the donor grafts are harvested. FUE involves extracting individual follicular units directly from the scalp, while FUT involves removing a strip of hair-bearing scalp and dissecting it into individual follicular units. FUE results in multiple small extraction sites, while FUT leaves a linear donor scar. The most appropriate technique depends on factors such as your hair loss pattern, donor hair characteristics, treatment goals, and the number of grafts required.
Does FUE leave scars?
FUE does leave small extraction sites in the donor area, although these are generally much smaller than the linear scar associated with FUT. Their visibility can vary depending on factors such as the punch size used, the number of grafts harvested, your individual healing response, and how short you wear your hair. Dr. Imami can discuss the expected appearance of the donor area based on your individual circumstances.
What is no-shave FUE?
No-shave FUE is a variation of the FUE technique that may allow selected patients to undergo treatment without fully shaving the donor area. Individual hairs may be trimmed or sectioned as needed to allow the follicular units to be accessed and extracted. Keeping more of the surrounding hair intact may help minimize visible changes to the donor area during the early recovery period. Suitability depends on factors such as your hair length, hair characteristics, donor area and the number of grafts required.
How many grafts will I need?
The number of grafts required varies between individuals. Dr. Imami will consider the extent of your hair loss, the size of the treatment area, your existing hair density, donor hair availability, and your treatment goals when developing your treatment plan. There is no standard number of grafts that is appropriate for everyone.
Will the transplanted hair look natural?
The appearance of a hair transplant depends on factors including hairline design, graft placement, hair characteristics, and the individual’s existing hair. During FUE, individual follicular units can be positioned according to the natural direction and angle of your existing hair to help create a natural-looking transition. Dr. Imami will discuss what may be achievable based on your individual characteristics.
When will I see hair growth after FUE?
Hair growth following FUE occurs gradually. The transplanted hairs commonly shed during the first few weeks before entering a resting phase. New growth may begin after several months, although the timing varies between individuals. Hair coverage and density continue to develop over time, with the longer-term result generally becoming clearer around 12–18 months after the procedure.
How long will the transplanted hair last?
Hair transplanted from the donor area generally retains the characteristics of the follicles from which it was taken. These follicles are typically more resistant to pattern hair loss than follicles in other areas of the scalp. However, non-transplanted hair can continue to thin or recede over time. Dr. Imami can discuss the expected longevity of transplanted hair and options for managing ongoing hair loss.
Is FUE painful?
FUE is performed under local anesthesia to numb the treatment areas during the procedure. You may feel pressure or other sensations during treatment, but you should not have significant discomfort. Mild tenderness or sensitivity can occur during the early recovery period, and Dr. Imami will provide guidance on managing any discomfort.
How long does recovery from FUE take?
Recovery varies between individuals. As FUE involves individual follicular extraction rather than removing a strip of scalp, there is no linear donor incision or associated suture removal. Many patients can return to work within several days, although this depends on their occupation and how comfortable they are with any redness or other visible signs of treatment. Avoid strenuous exercise and swimming temporarily while the scalp heals.
When can I return to work after FUE?
The timing depends on your occupation, the extent of your procedure, and your personal preference. Some patients return to work within several days, while others prefer additional time for redness, swelling, or other visible signs of treatment to settle. Patients who work outdoors or perform strenuous physical work may require additional recovery time.
Are FUE hair transplant results permanent?
Transplanted follicles generally retain the characteristics of their donor area and may continue to grow in the recipient area over the long term. However, hair loss can continue in non-transplanted areas of the scalp. For this reason, Dr. Imami may discuss ongoing hair loss management as part of your overall treatment plan.
Can I have another FUE procedure if needed?
A further FUE procedure may be possible for some patients, depending on the amount and quality of donor hair remaining and how their hair loss has progressed. Future procedures need to be carefully planned to avoid overharvesting the donor area. Dr. Imami can discuss whether additional treatment may be appropriate based on your individual circumstances.
Can FUE be combined with other hair restoration treatments?
In some cases, FUE can be combined with other hair restoration treatments. The appropriate combination depends on the cause and pattern of your hair loss, your existing hair, and your treatment goals. Dr. Imami can discuss whether additional medical or non-surgical treatments may be appropriate as part of your overall hair restoration plan.
Who is a good candidate for no-shave FUE?
No-shave FUE is not suitable for everyone. Suitability depends on factors including your hair length, hair characteristics, donor density, the number of grafts required, and the areas being treated. During your consultation, Dr. Imami can assess whether a no-shave approach is appropriate for your individual circumstances.
How do I know if FUE is right for me?
The most appropriate way to determine whether FUE is suitable is through an individual consultation with Dr. Imami. He will assess your hair loss pattern, donor hair density and characteristics, scalp health, relevant medical history, and treatment goals. Based on this assessment, he can discuss whether FUE, FUT, or another hair restoration approach may be appropriate for you.
